Osteopathy
How safe is it?
In simple terms, Osteopathy is an extremely safe form
of treatment. Strict guidelines are constantly adhered too with only correct
and fully taught techniques being practiced and performed
What happens during a treatment?
The first step
is the most crucial, Balance get to know you and your history. A full
examination will also take place along with a personally tailored test,
identifying symptoms and causes of your problems
How many treatments do I need?
At Balance, all
patients are treated on an individual basis, meaning that your treatment
can vary in length, time and amount. Age, personal symptoms and history
of previous conditions have to be taken into account but four to six sessions
are the average time spent at Balance by patients
How many treatments before I feel better?
The effects
of Osteopathy can be achieved after the first session, with relief being
a common feeling amongst patients. With further treatments, you can expect
exponential recovery and although some mild discomfort can be expected
after appointments, this will wear off gradually
What do I wear?
Due to the nature of the treatment,
it is recommended that patients wear loose fitted garments as on occasions,
it may be necessary to remove clothing to reveal areas of discomfort and
pain

Colonic Hydrotherapy
What happens during a treatment?
A session of Colonic Hydrotherapy will
involve filtered water being gently entered into the colon via a disposable
speculum, the process is very simple and the results are fantastic
How will I feel after?
Patients leave Balance Health

What should I do after the treatment?
Enjoying
your day is first and foremost. Balance also recommends that any herbal
remedies and supplements patients may be taking should be thoroughly analysed
and guidelines must be followed. It is also advised that patients drink
plenty of water once the treatment is finished
How long does it last?
Colonic Hydrotherapy sessions
usually between an hour and an hour and a quarter

What is Massage Therapy?

Aromatherapy

addition to helping in the reduction of stress and anxiety, depression,
headaches, insomnia whilst increasing circulation.
Are there any risks involved?
Although there are
no apparent risks in a patients health, Aromatherapy may not be suitable
for everyone. There are certain conditions that need to be avoided and
a Balance therapist will be able to advise patients on these areas upon
consultation
What should I expect during my massage?
Patients
can expect to feel comfort and ease with the therapist as this essential
component will help create a tranquil mood and relaxation, resulting in
the full enjoyment of an aromatherapy message
Do I have to be completely undressed?
There is
only need to remove outer garments and patients can remain in their underwear
or are welcome to wear comfortable clothing. A Balance therapist will
also use towels to ensure modesty
How do I prepare for a massage and what do I do
afterward?

What should I wear?
Casual clothing is a requirement
for Sports Therapy and depending upon the weather, shorts are a preferred
garment.
How many treatments before I feel better?
The amount
of treatment depends upon the extent and seriousness of the damage, injury
and individual. Each session will act as a progression toward fitness
with Home Care Advice being given in order to gain a full recovery and
time frame.
